Hate crime? Two Sikh Americans killed in the US

It’s not been long that Indian-origin engineer Srinivas Kuchibholta was killed when a US Navy veteran shot at him and his friend Alik Madasani, yelling “get out of my country.”

Within months of this incident, two Sikh Americans have been killed in two separate incidents in one week in California. The murders are suspected to be hate crimes.

Subag Singh, 68, who went missing on the morning of June 23 was found dead in a canal with his body having injuries.

As per a report by Fox26, “Deputies found his body with visible trauma in a canal on McCall and Jensen. Investigators are trying to piece together what led up to the body being found in a canal.”

In another incident, Simranjit Singh, 20 of Elk Grove was shot dead on July 25, 2017, outside a gas station.

As per media reports, Simranjit was shot dead by the men who had earlier assaulted his co-worker.

It was only in March 2017, when a 39-year-old Sikh man was shot in the arm outside his home in Kent, Washington. The attackers were the partially-masked gunman who shouted, “go back to your own country.”
